Nestled on the shores of Great Slave Lake, you would be providing and coordinating interpretation services for French-speaking patients/clients of Stanton Territorial Hospital, the affiliated clinics and other community health facilities. You would be collaborating with other Health and Social Services in the NWT to provide effective and consistent interpretation services throughout the territory. You would also be expected to develop and deliver medical terminology workshops for health and social services providers throughout the Health and Social Services system.
To be successful in this role you would have a diploma from a recognized French/English Interpreter program or equivalent training along with two years' experience interpreting in a health care setting.
The Government of the Northwest Territories offers a competitive salary ($83K to $100K for this role), an annual northern living allowance of $3,700 in Yellowknife, a generous benefits package, including a benefit pension plan, annual leave including the option for deferred leave, and health/dental benefits. The GNWT will also provide relocation assistance, if needed, to the successful candidate.
